Bespoke designs to modernise the way you travel

New Inclined Lift Installations

We’ve seen and fixed so many inclinators we knew it was our duty to design and manufacture an inclined lift that not only stands the test of time in the Australian environment but that is affordable to maintain and a pleasure to ride in every day.

You see we started this business because our inclinator broke down and we were told “it’s too old and it needs to be replaced” and would cost over $100,000.00, and this by the company that installed it in the first place! We smelled something fishy.

I took a look at it myself, ordered some parts and fixed it for $2,500.

As a mechanical engineer and C.A.D designer, I knew that my team and I could design a way more reliable inclined lift, so we did.

Since then, back in 2013, we’ve fixed and repaired a bunch of those old inclinators and funnily enough most people have a story like mine about being told they need to fork out for a new one, but that isn’t always true. We’ll do a thorough inspection and be straight with you about all your options so you can make an educated decision with all the information.

If you want an inclined lift installed, or to replace an old inclinator, we can help with that too.

We’ve designed “The DRG-977” from the ground up, you can take a test ride at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park Sydney, you’ll love it. It’s 100% Australian designed, built and installed with our guarantee. Your home is your oasis, we make sure you can get there safely.

Dual Rail System

Our dual rail system reduces carriage sway for a smoother ride and stress free travel. Mechanically it’s over two times more stable than an inclined lift running on a single I-beam.

Rust Protection – Electroless Nickel Plated and Painted Finish

Many inclined lifts are located near the coast. We supply the internal components with either a electroless nickel plated finish or zinc plated finish to ensure rust is kept to a minimum. The most visible components of the lift are painted. Our standard colour range can be seen at http://www.lacnam.com.au/media/pdfs/all_pdf/lacnam_color_chart.pdf . All the fasteners we use are either zinc plated or stainless steel.

Reconfigurable Carriage Cage

Our carriage cage is supplied as an enclosed construction so travel can take place out of the elements. The carriage cage section above 1150 high can be removed by simply releasing a small number of allen key fittings for open air travel, if the customer desires. Also for slightly more cost we can supply a transport barrier manufacture with the same style allen key fitting, which allows for easy transportation of larger items to and from the residence. There are a range of additional cage elements that can be supplied. For further information, please contact us.

Adjustable Carriage Runners

Over time wear and tear on a single track lift can cause the carriage to sway. Unlike our competitors the running wheels on our carriage can be adjusted to remove any excess gap ensuring carriage sway is minimised.

Side Driven Rack

Our inclined lift is rack driven, but unlike most other inclined lifts, our drive rack is on its side, not facing upwards. This ensures falling debris from surrounding vegetation doesn’t get stuck into the teeth of the rack clogging up working components.

Remote Control and Remote Monitoring (optional)

Our inclined lift can be optioned and fitted with a dial in data logger. We can dial into your inclinator from anywhere around the world and check it’s status. If there is a breakdown we can make a quick assessment of any issue associated with the control gear. This helps us to get you back up and running quicker. We can fault find from offsite and ensure we bring the correct spare parts to site, saving time and money ($5 monthly fee for SIM card after one year).

Optional Driven by PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)

Using a PLC allows our inclined lifts control system to be much less complex while adding in much more control. For example, if a customer decides in the future to add a new landing, having a PLC control system makes it much easier and much more affordable to add to the existing run. Using a PLC also eliminates the requirement of using relays and contactors and gives us more control over the soft start/stop Variable Speed Drive (VSD).

HMI Interface Control

Instead of using push button control like most other inclinator manufacturers, you can select the option for the control stations to be HMI touch screens. This allows for pin code locking at all landings. It also allows for visual representation of where the inclinator is on the run and warning messages in case of a breakdown.

Access to Brake in Case of Breakdown.

Our carriage platform floor has a small trap door to allow access into the motor housing while still allowing a person to stand on the platform. Currently no other inclined lifts on the market has this very simple feature. If for some reason the lift stops mid run and it isn’t possible for the person travelling to climb out, having access into the motor housing allows the person to manually release the brake taking the carriage back to the lower landing.

Motor Housing Drainage

Many existing inclined lifts in the market have major rust issues with the base plate in the motor housing. Water pools on the base plate and overtime the base plate rusts through. The design of our inclined lift does not allow water to pool.

Easy Maintenance

Working in the field maintaining our competitor’s inclinators, we’ve experienced all the issues associated with their designs that makes maintaining the unit hard work.

Our inclined lift has been design with maintenance in mind. It’s just easier to work on, reducing the time and effort at scheduled servicing.
